This study aims to explore the role of digital information behavior in developing the job performance of teachers in Taif city. The study adopted the analytical descriptive approach through a questionnaire applied to a sample of teachers. The results revealed a strong positive relationship between digital information practices and improved job performance, where the use of digital resources and artificial intelligence contributes to the development of educational content, teaching methods, and assessment methods.
The results showed that 80% of teachers rely on search engines as a primary source, while 86.7% use artificial intelligence tools in preparing lessons and designing activities. Furthermore, 100% of teachers indicated that digital resources saved preparation time and helped develop their teaching skills. However, 86.7% faced difficulties in verifying the accuracy of digital information.
The study recommends developing professional development programs focusing on critical skills in evaluating digital information, creating smart platforms for recommending reliable sources, and promoting a culture of digital professional exchange among teachers to maximize the benefit of digital resources in developing educational performance.
